She added to Britain’s OK! magazine: “We make sure we have nights out, we go out late at night and have a few drinks. The singer has teamed up with British label Fred Perry to create a womenswear collection. The collaboration will be based on her signature 1950s style and will be made up of 17 pieces including skirts and polo shirts. The gear will carry a specially-designed logo. And it’s not just a one-off – the brand has signed Amy up for four seasons. It’s a big commitment for her. The first collection will be in her favourite colours of black and pink. The Fred Perry label – named after the British tennis legend – is no stranger to working with musicians. You’ll be able to see for yourself when it hits stores in October.

I wanted  to be the artists I loved, like Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol, and I thought the only way to do it was to live the lifestyle. My cocaine soundtrack was always The Cure. I would lock myself in my room and listen to ‘Never Enough’ on repeat while I did bags and bags of cocaine.”But then I realized my father’s sister Joanne, who died at 19, had instilled her spirit in me. Shewas a painter and a poet – and I had a spiritual vision I had to finish her business.” The 23-year-old pop beauty – who began experimenting with cocaine and the hallucinogenic drug LSD after she dropped out of her course at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts when she was 20 – insists her late auntie is still a huge influence on her career. She sobbed as she told the crowd, “I can’t believe my record came out a year ago and you guys bought eight million of them. You are the most wonderful fans.
